beko 1200 won't spin?

our beko 1200 got totally frozen while we aere away over Xmas and New Year. When we got back I thawed it out carefully but there is one outstanding problem - it won't spin. When it gets to the spin cycle it runs for a few seconds and then cuts out. Is this something I could fix myself? I am fairly proficient with mechanical/electrical equipment but know very little (yet) about washing machines. It is less than 4 years old and otherwise in very good condition.

	Had the same problem with ours after 18 months. Spent 3 days trying everything to reset it but nothing worked, then one last thought before taking it to the tip I checked the hose. These machines don't spin if there is water in the cylinder, so I disconnected the hose from the drain pipe, put it in a bucket and turned the machine back on and water flooded out. The blockage was at the rubber none return valve in our kitchen wastepipe. Two curtain hooks and a button later and everything was fine.
