Rowenta Iron No Heat, Cord & Thermostat Okay, Have Resistance through light?

I Have a Rowenta Powerglide II that just stopped working. When you turn the dial, you can hear the thermostat click, but there's no light or heat. Iron was taken apart and reistance was verified through light. Husband says there is something like a small computer chip. Is this the heating element? Could this be the problem and where would I be able to get a new one?

Just this morning my Powerglide II stopped working. No apparent reason. Light comes on, but no heat. I found your question and hope someone can help both of us.
