how do you put a auxillary belt back on a sprinter 312

just to add , mine has the over head cab (not very airo dynamic) but it runs excellent,it no longer uses water and no longer overheats even on the big hills,i tried rad flushes etc it wasn't any thing like that.the fans need to be very thin to fit behind the grill(scrapyard).the switch/housing and the wiring and the relay came as a kit and they cost about £60( i think it was from deemon tweaks?) i think a new viscous fan was about £100 dealer part, but these aren't reliable as an electronic set up. hope this is some help to you.

hi, i have a 312 sprinter motorhome conversion,i had exactly the same trouble you are having,on mine the viscous fan wasn't free moving, hence the roar of the engine.i tried to replace it but someone had previouslly tried and they damaged the heads of the alan bolts.i put an electronic thermostat switch in the bottom hose and put a pair of electric fans behind the front grill and then you can set the temp control to kick in at pretty much any temp you want.this sounds dificult but it wasn't that hard to do
