Lost something inside Hotpoint Aquarius 1100?

I've lost something valuable (silver collar stiffener) that was in my shirt when washed - is there a filter that might have caught it or anyway of checking if this is stuck inside somewhere? I've examined the drum and can't see how it's got out, but it's gone.

FFS, dont turn the machine on it's side! Water will run out everywhere, and into electrical componets.

Just tip the machine back slightly, or there's a access panel on the back, at the bottom.

turn your machine on its side. there is a big pipe connected to the drum going to the pump, remove that and check it.

Without wanting to sound too stupid, how would i access that area please?

There's a filter in the sump, at the bottom of the drum. Big rubber hose that runs to the pump.
