When I unlock my car via key on the driver side the alarm goes off, this does not happen if I unlock on the passenger side. Any help appreciated!!

You will find that the micro switch on the door latch is faulty.Common problem.! Thats why the passenger side is ok. The key is used less that side. Part available from dealerships, not too pricey.

It could be the 'current draw' sensor on the alarm, ie when you turn the key it activates the central locking which draws current from the battery and sets off the alarm. Some alarms have a facility to switch off the 'current draw' sensor . So why does it not activate from the passenger side .........?
