How can I fix my mitsubishi CS-35AX1?

I have a single white line going across the middle of my TV screen as oppossed to a picture. Is there an easy way to resolve this?

Thanks

That is frame collapse, a very common fault.
It's usually quite straightforward for an engineer to repair.
Often caused by frame IC failure, dry joints or leaky electrolytic capacitors.
Expect a repair cost around $80-$120.
The repair should only be carried out by a qualified person.

(Don't operate the TV with the horizontal line showing as the intensity of the beam could burn a permanent image of the line onto the screen phosphor.)

I have that exact same white line when the tv is turned on. It slowly expands until most of the picture has appeared after about 5 minutes, but there are always a couple lines going across the tv that are fuzzy. If you can help, email me at mhump003@odu.edu. Thanks a whole lot in advance.
