WHAT NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED ON MY 96 DODGE CARAVAN?

i recently installed a rebuilt altenator in my van. I went to start my vehicle and all,s i heard was a clicking noise. I don,t know if this could be the altenator, or whar else might be wrong?

The noise you are hearing is the soleniod throw out the starter gear but not engaging motor .....if you had alternator problems you might just have a weak battery and need to recharge the battery

It's possible your starter may be bad. The clicking sound is the solinoid engaging.
