Overheating?

I have a 1997 Volkswagen Passat GLX that is overheating. I have checked the water pump and there is nothing wrong with it. I have replaced the thermostat. There are no clogs in the cooling system or anything like that. What could it be now?

Your cooling fans are not kicking in...which means the sensors which checks the water/coolant temperature are not functioning properly. You may need to replace the sensors.
