Myson orion 30b?

Hi,My boiler poilet will light but when either the heating or hot water calls for a command i cannot get full flame just the pilot remains alight, i can hear a click inside what i think is the gas valve as if the thermocoupler is opening but still no gas is coming out of the burner side, the boiler is about 15 years old and very basic am i on the right track as far as replacing the gas valve or could it be something else, any comments gratefully recieved thanks.

The Solenoid coils are availible separately cost about £25 + Vat should cost no more than £60 +vat for call out & labour

Hi boilerman, thanks for your feed back! to my very limited knowledge the boiler does not have a pcb only a wiring center where the hot water storage is located, you mentioned the main burner solenoid coil might have failed is this located in the gas valve as in do i (getting somebody in of course) have to get a new one or can the solenoid just be replaced. thanks really appreiciate your feedback

Either the Main Burner Solenoid coil has failed, or the PCB is faulty.
either way you will need a Gas Safe Register listed engineer holding CCN1 & CEN1 ACS Certification to carry out the repair.
Working on Gas Appliances is unwise, could be illegal and should anything go wrong your Household insurance may be invalid
