Sometimes this will happen when the laser reader on the inside of the dvd player is dirty. this is the little circular glass lense underneath the cover of the dvd player. I would recommend taking off the casing of the dvd player (carefully so as to not damage anything) so that you can see this lense. Now, take a Q-tip and dip it lightly in rubbing alcohol. now gently clean off the lense. let dry for about 5 minutes. this may work, depending on the problem. worth a try though. if it doesn't work then, i'm sorry, i can't help you.
