2003 SAAB 93 2.2TiD windscreen washer not working?

a couple of months ago i had to replace the wiper motor in my SAAB 9-3 as the wipers firstly didnt return to the bottom when turned off then stopped working altogether. During the recent (and on-going) cold snap in the UK my windscreen washer water froze.

It has warmed up a wee bit here (not that much tho) but when i pull the wiper stalk towards me to activate the washers the wipers dont move and i cant hear anything - i assume you should hear the pump trying to work even if the water is frozen or the bottle was empty. The wipers work normally ok but should come on automatically when the washers are activated

Does anyone know how to check if the pump works ok?

Thanks for your help

Thanks Bladeyboy

I had to google which fuse the washer pump was (i didnt get a manual with the car) and found it was Fuse #22 30amp - looked at it last night and it has blown. A replacement fuse fixed the problem!

if the wipers dont move and the pump isnt making a sound then its the fuse in the engine compartment...if the wipers move but the pump makes no sound, I would think the pump has burnt out
