Sagem HTD 501 Rear Projection 50" TV won't stay on?

Please help our TV when switched on at the side illuminates the red standby light then using the remote we turn it on and the light duly flashes amber then green and the channel comes on - good picture and sound. But then 30 seconds later its switches itself off through amber back to red and standby. I have unplugged everything and rebooted Sky but no improvement Can anyone help please?

Had same problem, take the bulb and case out, and hoover inside the case space and also up were the fan is situated, also you will see a small gap into the TV, there is dust inside the TV, try and hoover this out, if you cant, tie a piece of cloth and dust inside then put the hoover to the hole. Do everything to get rid of the dust !!! Then spray anti static through the gap into the TV but not onto the colour wheel (you can see it in the bulb case space) leave it over night before switch on. Do same to other side of TV. BUY A PACKET OF FAST BLOW FUSES 20mm 500ma change the fuse every time you take the bulb case out. my TV works perfect now but it took some time, cleaning and changing fuses. Do not throw away the TV, it just needs the dust cleaning and new fuse.

try opening the sagem tv up and cleaning any dust off the fans / heatsink, this is what sorted mine out as the fans were blocked by dust and the overheating motherboard inside kept turning the tv off after a minute or so. should take around 2 hours to do, just remember to keep all the screws in a container as there are so many on this tv
