our zanussi tumble dryer is giving us trouble at the moment?

hi, our zanussi tumble dryer is giving us trouble at the moment.The problem is that, the belt of our dryer broke and we got a new one, we have fixed it but its too loose and the drum is not rotating at its normal speed.It is rotating really slow. can u suggest us some thing, which should be done to rectify this problem, thanks

But you probably ought to post the model number.

I'd check the following...
(1) The belt is following the right route around the jockey wheel and motor axle. I believe this varies by model.
(2) The jockey wheel is probably sprung to achieve belt tensioning - it might be that the spring has come off.
(3) That you have the correct belt (Zanussi has at least three different lengths).
