Westwood T1200 will not start?

Hi,
My Westwood T1200 has decided to stop working!
Whenever I try to start, it tries to turn over but just won't.
I have changed the spark plug so it is not that, but I have noticed that when I take the air filter off the carburettor, it puffs out fuel. Is it supposed to do this or does it mean the engine is flooded?

Thanks for your help in advance,
Josh.

Ok, I will try those two tonight, I have also discovered there is actually no spark from the new spark plug, so it must be something wrong with the magneto, is there any way of testing/fixing?

Thanks again for your help in advance!

It sounds like the inlet valve is sticking or not seating.
squirt some oil into the cylinder and turn it over a few times, if it is sticking it may free it.Alternatively try putting a compression tester into the spark plug hole to test the compression. I had the same problem it was a sticking valve.

Try adjusting the carb setting. There is a screw on the side of the carb with a spring on it. Turn this screw fully in then back out 1 full turn - should do the trick
