MISALIGNED SHUTTLE HOOK ON MY TOYOTA SEWING MACHINE?

PLEASE CAN ANYONE ADVISE ME WHAT I SHOULD DO TO GET THE SHUTTLE HOOK TO PICK UP THE THREAD - IT LOOKS TO ME AS THOUGH THE SHUTTLE HOOK IS OUT OF ALIGNMENT? THIS IS MY VERY RECENT FIRST MACHINE (MODEL: TOYOTA 2400) AND I AM VERY MUCH A ROOKIE OLD WRINKLY AT THIS THOUGH I DO STILL HAVE ALL MY MARBLES AT TIME OF WRITING
MANY THANKS,
DEE

Hello Dee,
To pick up the thread, make sure the needle is in the correct way round, make sure you have threaded the machine properly, make sure the needle is not blunt or bent, very unlikely the hook is out of alignment.
