How do I get the radio out of my Ford KA?

I am trying to put a CD player in my car but I cannot get my existing Ford KA radio out of it. I think I have the correct tool but it is still not working. Can you help?

PUSH THE SPECIAL TOOLS (U SHAPED METAL RODS) INTO HOLES ON EITHER SIDE OF STEREO THEN FORCE THEM OUTWARDS SLIGHTLY AND THEN PULL STEREO TOWARDS U WITH THE RODS

If you have the 2 ( hoop shape) removing tools you need to press them in firmly, you should hear a small click when they are in far enough.Gently lever the tools outwards at the same time pull gently and the radio should just slide out.
