How do I correct my rough running 1998 Land Rover?

My 1998 Land Rover Discovery-LSE idles very high, around 3000 RPMs. I can't seem to correct it with fuel injector cleaners or gasoline additives...I did just have a new fuel pump installed 4 weeks ago, could it have something to do with the poor engine performance? If so...how do I correct my rough running Rover???

Disco LSEs can be diesels or petrol - you don't say which. If it is a diesel then putting gasoline additive in is a BAD thing to do. Again if its a diesel you don't say whiuh pump you had installed (lift or injection) but either can cause problems. If the bad running has occcured since the pump, take it back and get the person who fitted the pump to fix it.
