LG Intellowasher LE Error and now no power, need further help please Phil?

I have had this washing machine 3 years, brought it with me from UK to Australia, had the repair man out and says it has a faulty lock like you said, but when he opened the back up and took off the round cover he said he could see a leak and may need a new seal, then went on to say because of the leak it would have gone into the motor, and also need a new motor, to be honest the leak was only small, he has priced up the parts, lock, seal and motor and will cost around $700.00 to fix, but slight problem can't get the parts anywhere in Australia, I have ordered a new machine not LG but is there anyway I could poke around with it to get it to work, to be honest the machine I have ordered isn't has good as the one I got, so I might as well have a go, any suggestions.

Man thanks

hi sam very rare for a leak to damage motor not seen it in 14 years even in bad cases the motor is usually ok do the door lock see if it runs he may be touting for extra work ! when the lock is done i think it will run ok then check the leak,i know it sounds like a silly thing to say but chemical metal is fantastic on small leaks just make sure its dry before you put it on
hope this has been of help thats what im here for cheers phil
