Fisher and Paykel GW601-u not draining fully?

Hi

i have an old Fisher and Paykel GW601 washing machine that is not draining fully all the time.

I opened the control section and made sure everything was connected and ran the diagnostic and the pump emptied fully once so i put the lid back on and now it is back to not draining completely (even in diagnostic mode)... the pump is on and drains properly for most of the bowel, but no water comes out for the last couple of inches in the bowel.

Please help!!!

When it gets down to the last of the water is the drain pump still running? Can you hear it? If it goes quiet and the pump has stopped then it may be overheating. It has a thermal cut out which will switch the pump off until the pump cools down. You could check when it goes quiet, by turning power off & tipping the machine back against the wall and locate the drain pump. Touch the metal part and see if it feels really hot. A good pump should be only a little bit warm. If it is hot then you need to fit a new pump.
