How do i fix my lcd40-270 technika?

Hi, basically i was watching a DVD on my tv the next thing it starts to go really staticky like the old TV sets when trying to tune into a Channel and the tv then just turns off! And all it does now is.. The red standby light flashes like 6 times then stops for about half a sec then repeats? I've tried unplugging the TV set for a-couple of hours & tried to change the fuse, but nothing?! I haven't a clue with electrics (I'm a girl) lol please help me I've only had the tv for about 2 year, & i can't afford another right now especially with it being so close to x-mas please can somebody help me?? Thanks.

Sounds like a power supply issue. You may find some help in a dedicated TV forum. Try posting here: http://www.badcaps.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=31

Here's one place you may be able to get one, if the experts on the forum suggest:

https://spares2repair.co.uk/technika-lcd40-270-psu-g0281d-v0.0

http://www.mbtvelectronics.co.uk/product/g0281d-v0-0-power-supply-board-for-technika-lcd-40-270

Or even:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/POWER-SUPPLY-BOARD-PSU-G0281D-TECHNIKA-LCD40-270-/262680388062

PS. there's nothing, but nothing, about being a girlie which means you shouldn't be able to learn a thing or two about electrics - I work with enough good lady engineers to know.
