How do I remove base from Morphy Richards 48280 bread maker?

The belt on the 48280 needs replacing. To get at the bottom metal plate you need to remove the screws from the plastic base, but there are a series of plastic catches molded into both halves, which stop the base from coming away from the plastic cover. Remove the internal bucket and the surounding thin metal shield. There are about 8 screws holding this shield to the base, remove them and the 2 screws which hold the heating element. The metal shield should now come out and you should now be able to see the plastic catches, which you have to push to seperate the two halves. To access the belt which is under the metal base plate remove the screws which attaches the metal plate to the plastic bottom (6 I think). Morphy Richards don't have a replacement belt but it is obtainable for about £ 22 via ebay or amazon.
