REMOTE EYE ,9VDC SUPPLY FROM RF2 SKT?

can anyone shed some light on this one please,remote eye for sky box,rf2 skt has no 9vdc present,grundig and panasonic boxes,is this something that has to be "turned on",ie menu or hardware? many thanks terry

Yes, it's turned on from the hidden 'Installers Menu'.

To access it...
1. Select Services
2. Select System Set Up
3. Using remote numbers, enter (briskly) '0' '1' 'SELECT'........
4. AND THEN PRESS ENTER TOO!

You can turn on the RF2 power there.
Remember to SAVE changes.

PS. Also, best if the RF Coaxial connections at either end of the cable run are crimped or soldered, to ensure that the connections between decoder and the global eye are secure.
