What is the difference in the connections of ethernet and USB
Do they really differ that much and is one more advantagious then the other ....
I was on ethernet and my connect speed was 100Mbps
I`m now using USB at a speed of 12.0MBps and it seems the computer is faster or am I dreaming .....
The higher the number the better connection speed right >???

I can only guess at what you are connected to because you don't say. No, the numbers don't say it all but your Ethernet adapter will be connected to the computer's bus much more efficiently than a via a USB connector and, as you point out Ethernet is inherently much faster too.
