where is the starter motor on a p reg 1.8. ford mondeo?

Car just wouldn't start last night. Just get a clicking sound from engine, all the eleactrics are working and it will bump start, so I'm assuming it's the starter motor. Am I right?

Try a jump start first, this problem sounds more like a dud battery. A flat battery on the mondeo does exactly this (clicking) unlike what you expect the starter does not engage and the engine will not turn even slowly. (sorry about being 2 years late with this answer)

the starter in not behind the radiator, it is at the rear of the engine below the carb on the right hand side, to change the you will have to work from underneath the car, there are two 15mm bolts you can get to from above, standing on the passenger side wing, look down below the egr valve( the thing a 3/4 in pipe goes into) you will see the two bolts.
now you have to go under the car to take off the last bolt, before you do you have to disconnect the electrics from the back of the starter, disconnect the earth cable off the battery. there are two bolts holding the electrics to the starter they are 10mm i think, you can now take it out.

starter motor is just behind the radiator on the passenger side of the car.As you stand facing the engine it is on your right, and better accessed from underneath the car.
