dropped in coffee?

how can i fix my mobile phone, it was dropped in coffee for a couple of seconds

this happened to me and this is what i did then it worked again take the battery out of it then if you have central heating place the phone on top of the heater but on top of a peace of clothing or something like that.

If any low voltage electrical item is dropped in a liquid like coffee or the sea then you should do the following:

1) Remove the batteries.
2) Rinse the item thoroughly in clean (preferably distilled) water. This should be done as soon after the event as possible espescially if dropped in salt water as corrosion can set in.
3) Dry off as much surplus water that you can get to.
4) Place the item in a warm dry place such as an airing cupboard until completely dry.

I dropped my pager in the toilet a few years back and I used this method to get it working again. It is still working today having been in daily use since.
