The burners on my Whirlpool hob will not stay lit. How can I fix this?

3 of the rings on my Whirlpool 5 ring hob (from IKEA) do not stay lit after ignition. (i think this is a Whirlpool AKM 393 )The gas supply is OK - they light fine while manually holding the control knob to ignite position, (pushed in) but as soon as I let go, the gas goes out. The hob has a flame failure safety device which cuts off the gas "if a flame is accidentally blown out" . 2 rings operate correctly.

Hi, did you ever get an answer or a solution to this problem? I also have a whirlpool (IKEA) gas hob, bought in 2006, with 5 burners and the rear left burner only occassionaly works if you hold the gas and ignition on manaully for about 5 minutes. Would love to know how to sort this out! Regards Dan
