Why can't I burn a CD when my Zoom ADSL USB Modem is connected?

I have a Zoom ADSL USB Modem. When this is connected, my computer crashes when I burn a CD. If I unplug the Zoom ADSL USB Modem and burn a CD everything works fine. Why does the modem interfere with the CD drive?

Modem = Zoom ADSL USB Modem
CD Drive = LG GCE-8525B
OS = Windows XP
Software = Roxio Creator Classic

Sorry I see at bottom you use XP it could be a conflict also, in my experience with easy Cd creator it made more coasters than CD's I swapped to Nero and never have any problem with conflicts or otherwise, makes a perfect CD each time.

Hi, you don't say anything of your O/S or how much memory you have? it could be that you are running out of memory and that is why your PC is crashing while on the net. Copy CD's and don't do anything else while you are copying this will stop any errors as well due to memory use, copying a cd can use up to 80 meg of mem. XP needs about 120 or more to run properly.
My advise is to use Nero it's much better than easy CD.
