Once again I praise sites like this - simple to some folk but not too others - button was red on the back of mine but same thing applied and worked great - big thanks and saved me buying a new machine

I know this is an old thread but just wanted to say thanks for the tip about the orange push button on the side of the drier! Such an easy thing to miss but worked a treat! And it was free! ;-)

Thanks for the tip about the orange thermal cutout - it works again and saved a repair bill!

Hi, I also had this problem, I nearly went out to buy a new machine and then I tried the orange cut out switch and it worked!! Thank you.

Hi, I had the same problem with mine, and for my machine at least, the solution was simple. On the back of the dryer is a small plasic plug, (??orange), which seems to be part of the thermal cut-out mechanism, and when I pressed this in, hey pressed oh, (groan), I got heat! I know you've probably tried this, but sometimes the obvious can be overlooked. Hope this helps,
Peter
