potterton puma 80 low pressure problems?

The low pressure light on my potterton puma 80 boiler has come on preventing the boiler from firing up. Usually this happens when the pressure gauge falls in to the red so I just top up the system however, this time the gauge is reading 1 bar and topping up the system seems to have no effect. I bled my highest radiator this morning and a lot of air came out but this has made no difference to the low pressure light or gauge. Any ideas.

i have a baxi bermuda back boiler but 1 radiator upstairs will not bleed, its warm just up to the middle is there a way i can pressurise the system, as i think theres just not enough pressure there to push the air out, is so where would i find such a valve or do i turn the screw up slightly on the water pump ?

low pressure most of the time comes because it creates some dirt inside......the way to get rid of and the way I always use is by going to the switch......and trigger the cables ....how u do it is simple
remember where the cables are position.......one and two..and the third space is empty
just put one cable there and leave one of them on the original position.....put the power on......swith the boiler and it should run hot water......leave it for one minute.........switch the power off.....put the cables back again to original position.
swith power on and it should be perfect.
thats the way my plumber do it and since then i never called him again...........i hope it helps.

A new switch is only about £10. Apparently they are universal make sure you connect the right terminals or the problem persists, there is also apparently a special washer but the lead conections are more important. Check pottertons website.

if gauge in green and light on water pressure switch sounds faulty had same problem easy to replace yourself but you could try cleaning any debris build up first from inside the switch.
