I have decided to check out the thrift stores. They always have a ton of remotes with nothing to go with them. I'm confident I can find a remote at a Goodwill or other such place.

Try using the code 447 from Funai, I could not get any Magnavox codes to work. After finding an article stating that this unit was made by Funai, I tried using their codes and everything now works fine.

I am in the same dilemma. It seems that Universal remotes don't work with this thing.... I'm only able to push STOP and PLAY. Without the remote, it is impossible to select scenes, episodes, extra features, etc.

Anyone know how to get a universal remote to work with the Magnavox MDW200GA??
