I've got a Dyson DC01 Absolut and only about 20% of the dirt and fluff ends up in the container now, most of it is in the compartment of the pull up filter on the side. I've had it to bits as far as I can without specialist tools and can't find any blockages apart from this areas filling up - any ideas???

Hi. Looking at this picture and your Dyson,,, does the bin look the same with the Yellow bin insert??

If not you need to get one. The yellow insert separates the small and large particles. It seems to me it is all going straight to the motor.
