What could be causing my battery to drain in my 04 Durango?

I have a 2004 Dodge Durango. Replaced the battery and it died within 3 weeks. Replaced the alternator. Battery is still draining and had to jump off several times. What else could be doing this and can I fix it or do I have to shell out $$$ at a dealership???

Get a test lite and disconnect battery on neg side ....hook test lite between the battery and cable ..if it lites you have a parisictic drain ....pull each fuse and watch lite till it goes off when fuse is pulled ...when lite goes off you have found what circuit problem is on and go from there .......after you pull fuse and lite isn`t effected put it back in ....good luck it can be confusing on some with radio memory ect

Don't know anything about American cars I'm afraid, but a common cause of this sort of thing is a courtesy light not switching off, usually one hidden away out of sight, perhaps the one in the boot, (trunk to you!), or the glovebox.

Also check that the alarm is not being triggered without you knowing it.

If this does not help, take it to an auto electrician who will probably fix it a lot cheaper than a dealer.

Good luck.
