very little steam making a racket

It just makes this awful racket and produces no steam, the pipe running from the iron to the base doesnt get warm at all,it used to when workin, the iron gets hot but no steam.

I had the same problem and have narrowed it down to the pump because I could not here the pump running when I pressed the trigger on the iron. I opened up the base unit (3 screws underneath) the pump is a square unit at the water tank end. A smart tap with the handle of the screw driver and the pump started working again.
I'm currently sourcing a replacment pump!

I had the same problem! it was solved when I realised the filter wasnt lined up properly so the steam went through the unit into the iron.Make sure the filter opening fits into the unit correctly.
It works brilliantly now.
