NO POWER TO ELECTRIC HOSE ELECTROLUX EPIC 6500?

I BOUGHT AN ELECTROLUX EPIC 6500 ON E-BAY. IT WAS SO FILTHY I OPENED IT UP AND LIFTED THE MOTOR AND CORD WINDER OUT WITH OUT DISCONNECTING ANY WIRES (EXCEPT THE CONTROL VALVE HOSES). I UNSCREWED THE SWITCH AND POPPED OUT THE WARNING LIGHT COMPONENT. I WAS ABLE TO WASH THE ENTIRE BODY IN THE SINK. I PUT IT BACK TOGETHER AND IT WORKED FINE. NOW THERE'S NO ELECTRICITY GETTING TO THE HOSE. I HAVE TWO HOSES AND SEVERAL POWER TOOLS SO I KNOW IT'S NO POWER TO THE HOSE.THE VAC ITSELF WORKS FINE SUCTION WISE. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
THANKS.

You sound fairly handy, since you were able to open the case and all. The most likely cause of your issue, when you were reassembling the vacuum halves, you disconnected one of the wires that goes from the cordwinder to the dust bag door, where the hose plugs in. You will have to open the vacuum again to check for the loose wire. Another cause but it is not as common, there are two wires that connect to the throat where you plug in the hose, one of those wires, generally the black one has a fuse in it, looks like small lump in the wire, it could have blown out.
Also look into the hose throat make sure the two brass contacts that touch the hose are in place.
