my bissell proheat protech 7920 allows water & shampoo to flow but won't?

water won't shut off when trigger is releasd water &solution are sucked up as normal but when trigger is depressed it won't shut off when releasd

Yes, fitted a new pump, it now works fine without any leaks.

I've got the same problem.
I think the pump piston isn't sealing. There's a pipe from the top of the pump that goes to the suction duct to the fan.
On mine, water is being sucked from the top of the pump, into the fan body & it's dripping there.
I think a new pump is required.
