For sometimes even my notebook was pluged to the power outlet screen become darker the same way if I used notebook using only battery. Then one day I pressed start button nothing happen completely dead I checked AC adapter is good I am getting 15v output therefore I thing AC adapter is good. I heard from people that my hard drive can be a problem .

It sounds like the problem I had. check the power port on the computer. where you plug in the power cord sometimes cracks the solder joints on the motherboard making it imposible to charge. give it a slow wiggle and see if your charge light turns on or off.
