My McCulloch TrimMac 210 only runs on half-choke and only for 5 mins?

Switching to choke off (at any point) causes it to die. After 5 mins on half-choke it cuts out anyway. I'm prepared to have a crack at servicing it with some guidance. Can you help?

Thanks

Mark

I have the same issue. My investigations suggest that this is an issue with the fuel line and possibly the spark. Suggest a service. This will be my approach in any case.

Hi mine was the same after the bubble you pump the petrol through when starting perished and developed cracks which it was sucking air through. As it a 2 stroke it will foul the plug and stop running when you use the choke when its hot.
The bubble and the thin petrol pipe from the tank hardened and cracked after only 2 years very light use, I would have expected them to last a lot longer.
