Hello my Nissan Serena 2009 2.0l petral auto cnt get out the Japanese radio out

now completed - here is the order of what i did - unit i was installing is a kenwood with the additional adaptor cable.
1) remove the two screws on the top edge of the fachia.
2) remove center console cover
this exposes the mounting screws for the radio
3) remove old radio and unplug all connections & arial
4) remove mounting brackets form old radio and save
5) check alignment of new radio with the old brackets, note you may need new fixing screws.
6) check all actions & options are fuctioning
7) re fix all fachias etc.

i have taken a couple of pics if interested

Not had a chance to do it yet due to a family bereavement. And I had a quick look at the weekend, yes removing those two screws will allow it to unclip but I also found that you need to remove the console cover were the gear stick is to gains that extra ½ inch to get it off, and allow room to unplug the headlight adjusting switch. When I do it I will take some photos as I go. I could see the mounting screws on either side of the radio about 2 inches back form the face plate.

I have a Vanette, but would think the solution to be the same for the Serena. Just above the radio are two screws. Remove these and pull the fascia forward and then up, which releases it from the clips you mention. There is no need to remove the centre console. The screws securing the radio, heater controls and in-dash tray are then visible and the radio can be unscrewed.

Just a small update lookes like there are two clips at the bottom of the square cover that covers the radio, temp control units. on either side that you unclip by pushing up from below. Suspect it will help by removing the center console/gear stick cover to aid access. Will have to try it out

I'm wondering the same thing myself - looks like the dash/console needs to be removed to get at the thing, but I haven't worked out how to do it. If you work out please let me know.....
