How can i remove a bolt that has rounded off and the socket just turns?

The bolt is securing the rubber mounting bracket on the exhaust tail pipe of a fiat punto 1.1

dependin on how bad u have rounded it off u can sometime use a spanner identical to the bolt ie hexagon shaped instead of a multifit one like a socket

You could try a bolt grip,which attaches to your socket ratchet.Any car accessory shop should sell them.They usually come in a set of various sizes.I bought mine from screwfix,if you do a lot of diy work on your car,it is a handy tool to have. ps my cars also a fiat punto,just done the clutch on it,saved myself a fortune on garage bills.

Normally we would try to bash on a socket that is the next size down, and try that....apply heat if its safe to do so.
