Anyone any idea how to reset the airbag warning light on a 1996 Nissan Micra. I have recently disconnected the airbag in the steering wheel to change the wheel, now the airbag warning light is on and the horn no longer works???

Found what the problem was. Accidentally broke the airbag 'clockspring/spool' on the steering column. This has to be centralised before refitting a steering wheel. Doh!

Turn the key to ON; don’t start the Engine
Leave the drivers door open;

push the Door jam switch (the switch on the door jam that turns on the room light) 7 times within 10seconds.

Turn the switch OFF.

Take the key out.

wait 30 seconds, start the Engine ;

the Air bag ECU resets if you don’t have a problem with the System...

or try
1. Turn ignition switch on.
2 After Air Bag warning lamp come on, wait for 7 seconds, turn ignition switch off within 1 second.
3. Wait for more than 3 seconds.
4 Repeat steps 1 to 3 three times.
5. Turn ignition on. SRS is now in Diagnosis Mode
