if you are referring to a ghosted image due to poor TV reception, fix your antenna system.

if the shadow is occurring during DVD's, TV, VCR ....or whatever - there's nothing you can do.
The major downfall of plasma TV technology is that it uses and expendable resource to generate its picture just like CRT TV's do (your old glass TV). When a stationary image (ie. sport scores or leaving a picture on pause too long ...) the picture does not 'burn' evenly.
White is your hottest colour and burns up a plasma very quickly, followed by your bright colours and so on. When the picture is burnt-in ... it will appear as a shadow because it is more dull in the area that had the hottest colour on it for a longer period of time.
So...in short...it's stuffed. They do have some sort of 'burn-right' mode on them that will wear the surrounding area down to match the dull area so that the intensity is uniform - but that drastically reduces the life of your TV(they say that if you do this 3 - 4 times, the TV is dead).
