How can I stop the Blue Screens?

For information's sake, I'll put down my specs first:
- ASRock 775Dual-VSTA motherboard
- Intel Core2Duo 6300 processor at 1.87GHz
- 1GB DDR2 RAM
- NVidia Geforce 7900GTX
- 1 Western Digital Caviar 80GB HDD (IDE connection)
- 1 Western Digital Caviar 160GB HDD (SATAII connection, recently added)

Now, before I added the 160GB SATA hard drive I had absolutely no problems. After I added the hard drive however, I had to reset the motherboard's BIOS because it wasn't working. Resetting the BIOS got it to work, but now what happens is that whenever I play a game of some sort I get a blue screen that gives the error code 0x0000008E....I looked up on a LOT of different websites what that could mean, and I've concluded that it's probably something to do with a hardware driver conflicting with something...

A little more research led me to find out that others have had that problem with Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2...and that the service pack was the cause of the problem. What I then did was I formatted my IDE drive and reinstalled Windows XP Professional without ANY service pack....still no luck solving the problem.

I was wondering if anybody could help me figure out what I can do to fix this issue or what might be causing it. Any help would be appreciated.
