replace headlight o/s rover 620?

can i just change the lens on a rover 620 headlight, or the whole unit?
I have a replacement unit, but it looks like i have to take off the bumper to replace it, which due to the age of the car will be impossible to get back on!

Fraid the bumper must come down. There are 2 x 10mm bolts behind the bumper securing the unit in, either that or jack the car up and try to get to them from underneath
