No Power to Sony Home Theater system (dav-s550)?

Hi,

I have a Sony Home Theater system (dav-s550). All of a sudden it will not turn on, no stand-by or anything it's just dead!! PSU? I'm pretty handy at repairing PC's but have no experience with DVD players, so any help would be much appreciated!

i had a similar problem, but the standby light was on, but unit would not switch on further. put it in to be looked at and was told it was the psu. hope this is any help.
