Tefal Express steam generator - trigger not working?

The trigger on my Tefal Express steam generator doesn't work. It doesn't release the steam through the iron's sole plate. Everything else seems to be working OK. What is wrong with it and can it be fixed?

I have same problem - but if left standing for about half an hour, switched on, it suddenly starts working. Don't know why!
