ive recently done a full engine rebuild on my dna 50

new bearings , piston, etc

put it back together , got it running , and the thing still sounds lke a bag of balls ,

Im now thinking it either the rollers rattling around ,
if so should i grease these , like some manuals say?

or its the xhaust baffles gone ,

also the idle screw does absolutly nothing now its back together ? ,


anyone had this problem ?

the reason the choke wasnt working is becasue there was to much strain on the throttle cable , to fix this , ive angled the carb more and now the slider shuts all the way down, hoorah

only problem now is the idle is too , low and to get it up to 1800 rpm i need to adjust the cable , which takes the slider back to where it was;;; doh


does anyone know if the jets have to be screwed all the way in or do they need setting up ?

i rebuilt the engine as it made an awful noise when i got it , stripped it down and found the engine bearings wear knackered ,

since rebuild ive just found the engine rattle was down to the rotor being loose,,

petrol doesnt drip when its switched off ,

theres too much oil going through now as the plug is oily

will get there in the end

Other thing is that the clock is in kph , ive tried the hold the buttons down thing but it doesnt work

why did the engine need a rebuild? did you find theproblem before running the rebuilt engine ? iwould check the vacuum petrol tap itshould only let petrol through when the engine is turning.to check it removepetrol pipe from carb .there should be no petrol comming out. if there is aconstant drible the tap is knackered.this willaccount for reason nothing nothing happening when turning idile screw
