Your best bet is to try and download several free spyware programs. Some of the best ones out there are free. If you go to www.download.com and search for spybot search & destroy, Ad-Aware SE Personal, and Microsoft Windows Defender. Download these (they are compatible with Windows 98 and above), run the updates on them, and see if that fixes it. Also using a more secure browser (other than Internet Explorer) such as Firefox (at www.getfirefox.com) will help with this also. If you can't get to the websites to download things like this, it would probably be better to take it into your local pc repair shop (depending on how competent they are, I would get references of people before you decide on where to take it)
