Goodmans X-Pro GTV42P3 - Help please me fix me TV?

I have had this Goodmans TV for over 2 years now and never had a problem with it, just lately I have a black 2-3 inch band going from top to bottom of the screen about 12 inches in from the left side. Please can anyone help me as its driving me mad!!!!
