Hi common problem with the jakes (jcb) the fuel tank is part of the chassis so it is a swine to clean out.
Several ways are
remove fuel hose from bottom of tank and stem clean tank! this is very hard due to bent filler hose so i've done it b4 by cutting a hole in top of tank using a hole saw, when done screw a larger plate over the hole, seal and screw down.
The other way is to fit a separate fuel tank on the o/s wing and run a fuel pipe to the lift pump.(this works well but looks odd). This is a very common problem you may only a have little bit of dirt in tank but it is only a small hole!!!
