Problems with cd burner using XP?

Trying to burn cd with windows media player on XP but it keeps asking for burner to be connected,IMAPI cd-burning com keeps reverting to service status stopped even after changing to started

Hello Dave, make sure you're pointing the program to the correct drive. If you have more than one drive and the other one isn't a burner you'll get that error message. If you do have two drives, make sure that you set the jumpers so one is MASTER and the other one is SLAVE = failure to do this will mess up everything as well. It is free (and good) so it might help you understand if the problem is with Media Player.
